Sarah Palin, Republican Party’s vice-presidential candidate, is trying to get valuable foreign policy experience by holding meetings with various world leaders attending the UN Session in New York. On Wednesday, Sarah Palin held a meeting with Pakistan’s new president, Asif Zardari. At the beginning of the meeting the duo exchanged pleasantries and Zardari described the vice-presidential candidate as ”even more gorgeous” than he had expected. She thanked him and he responded; “Now I know why the whole of America is crazy about you.” It didn’t end there. When a cameraman asked them to shake hands again so that he could get the right shots, Zardari really turned it on: “If he’s insisting, I might hug.” Palin again smiled politely. Maybe this could serve the former Alaska beauty queen well if the US ever decides to get tough on Pakistan’s harboring of Al-Qaeda and Taliban.
